The Sennebogen
830E Demolition machine is optimised for demolition
activities. It has a typical operating weight of around
45 tonnes.
Packaging
The box is Sennebogen-branded and
is in a high quality presentation style. It includes
some information about the real machine. Inside the
model is contained within black foam rubber.
There were no missing parts
or defects on the review model.
An instruction sheet describes the assembly of the
model.
Detail
The
underside of the undercarriage is fairly simple and the
crawler tracks are metal. The track frames have
plastic steps attached. There are no working
rollers.
The cab is a Sennebogen Maxcab design, and it
has metal grab rails although the mirror is not
silvered. Plastic protection guards are fitted to
the front and top. Inside the detailing is good with
distinct controls. The elevating mechanism is connected
by small brass rivets and the cable band is nice soft
material. Outside, the metal walkway has a
textured surface.
The body
casting is enhanced by the graphics which include small warning
signs and the Sennebogen name is embossed in the
counterweight casting.
At the front is a metal platform ladder leading to the roof where
there is texturing and painted detail. Metal
handrails surround the top of the engine compartment.
There are soft hoses running to the boom where
they connect to plastic pipes, Hydraulic lines run across
and down the stick to the crusher.
The
crusher is a mainly metal part and hydraulic hoses
from the stick clip on to it.
A metal boom stand is also included.
Features
The tracks roll by hand although they were a little
sticky on the review model. They are mounted on
extendible track frames, so transport and working poses
are possible.
The cab elevates smoothly and stays horizontal
throughout. It also tilts and holds a pose when
elevated, although not when lowered.
The model rotates well.
The movement of the boom and stick is very good and the
cylinders have enough stiffness to hold any pose. The
stability of the model is very good.
The
demolition crusher rotates and it opens and closes and
itt is
detachable.
The handrails can be removed and the model adopts a realistic transport pose.
The boom can be detached, and the model also features a
working counterweight attachment mechanism which is an
excellent addition.
Quality
This a
very good quality model by Conrad with plastic used
appropriately.
The paintwork is
also very good with nice sharp
detailed graphics
throughout.
Price
It is reasonable value.
Overall
It is good to see another demolition model and this
Conrad model features some really nice functionality and
flexibility.
